Taman Ayun Temple


Taman Ayun temple was the area of royal temple, which is built in the years of 1634. A lake of lotus surrounds the area of the temple, about 300 meters in the side of Mengwi Palace. Trees and green grass that’s treated well fill the three green yards in the temple area. Surround the temple are also decorated by row of meru, paibon, and Padmasana, throne of the Sang Hyang Tri Murti (God). Across the area of the temple can be found the Museum of Manusia Yadnya, a museum of rituals of human being since they were in the womb till they burnt after death. Taman Ayun is located in the Mengwi village, in the district of Badung. The distance from Denpasar to the southwest is approximately 18 km, by using the routes of streets Denpasar-Singaraja through Bedugul. The buildings of traditional houses can be seen in the right and left side of the temple, while across the street can be found some ravines with the tortuous canals.25 minutes are needed to reach this area by using motorcycles. It also easily to be reach by using the public transport which is can be found since the morning till the evening passes this area.
